Overland Vehicle Systems Expedition Truck Bed Cap FAQ’s:

  • What is included to seal the Expedition Truck Cap to prevent water and dust ingress?
    We provide a 3M single bulb seal that is placed around the perimeter on the bed rails and bulkhead to prevent water/dust from coming in. Our rear hatch also has a bulb seal that seats on the top of the tailgate in the closed position. In addition, we provide 2 pieces of butyl tape that can be placed at the bulkhead rail where there is a step down from the side plastic bed rail to the bulkhead to help prevent water/dust intrusion. It is important to note that no truck bed is completely sealed, and some water intrusion may be possible although greatly reduced with the bulb seal. Likely water intrusion is often found around the tailgate perimeter.
  • Does the Expedition Truck Cap come with a crossbar system? There will be an Overland Vehicle Systems cross-bar option available. The cross bars will mount to the included cap rails (the rails that go parallel with the frame rails). The bars will have a dynamic weight rating of 325lbs and a static weight rating of 750lbs and have a rise of approximately 2” above the cap.
  • What is the load-carrying weight limit for the Expedition Truck Cap?
    When using the optional Overland Vehicle Systems cross bars, the dynamic weight limit is 350lbs with a static weight limit is 750lbs.
  • Are the Expedition Truck Cap included roof rails compatible with other aftermarket cross bars?
    The included rails were designed around the Overland Vehicle Systems optional cross bars. The included roof rails do have a 19mm slot which will allow for various systems. We will be testing various aftermarket crossbar systems and will eventually update the instructions on compatible systems. We recommend using our Overland Vehicle Systems Expedition Truck Bed Cap Crossbars for the best compatibility.
  • Does the Expedition Truck Cap glass closest to the cab have a slider or drop-down option?
    The current design is a fixed rear window with no drop-down / pass-through accessibility.
  • Are the Expedition Truck Cap latches lockable?
    Each Expedition Truck Cap will come with keyed-alike locks.
  • Can the Expedition Truck Cap be locked or opened from the inside?
    The Expedition Truck Cap cannot be locked or opened from the inside of the bed.
  • Does the Expedition Truck Cap have a vent?
    The Expedition Truck Cap vent is a fixed vent located above the glass on the panel located closest to the cab. The vent allows for air ventilation as well as circulation to reduce condensation inside the topper. It also allows air to escape during the closing of all of the panels.
  • Is there any drilling required to install the Expedition Truck Cap?
    No, the Expedition Truck Cap does not require any drilling and is a simple bolt-on system using basic hand tools.

Returns Policy

Please read the policy below to familiarize yourself with how we operate.

Please verify the part number that you are ordering before you place your order. If a part is ordered incorrectly by the customer and then returned, the customer will be responsible for all shipping charges and will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. We cannot be held responsible for manufacturer misinformation. If we messed up the order, then of course, we will take care of it. An RGA number must be requested within 7 days of receipt of the product by the customer. Returns must be received within 30 days of the initial purchase. We do not accept returns after 30 days. If an RGA is requested after 7 days of receiving the product then only an in-store credit will be issued. We do not refund shipping costs.

  • All returns require an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) number. Please email: info@offroadtrading.com, to obtain this number. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response during busy times.
  • The RGA number must be marked on a label outside of the returned box. Do not write on the retail packaging or it will void the return.
  • All returned goods must be sent freight prepaid by the customer.
  • A 20% restocking fee will be applied to all returned goods.
  • All returned merchandise will be inspected before credit is applied to the account.
  • All items that receive credit will need to be in NEW, UNUSED, and resellable condition including original packaging with all components. The product cannot be altered, damaged or missing pieces.
  • If you refuse deliveries from shipping carriers, this will result in penalty charges. The shipping return cost(s) will be deducted from your refund amount.
  • If the item is a warranty issue, please contact the manufacturer for warranty.
  • Warranty issues will not be refunded after 30 days. Warranties are handled through manufacturers.
  • Please understand that damage in shipping is the shippers fault not ours. We simply ship it to you. If you do receive a damaged package, we must follow the procedure indicated by the carrier. Please contact the carrier first prior to contacting Offroad Trading Co. If you do not have time to wait, we can process another order for you and refund after the shipping claim has been approved.
  • Any scratch and dent, surplus, overstock, garage sale, used products, and eBay auction merchandise will not be refunded. All merchandise is sold “AS IS” and all sales are final. A description of each item will be posted. The best description possible will be given.
  • No returns on custom or fabrication work including paint, custom design, modification and fabrication of parts
  • No returns are accepted on special orders, factory dropships, and body parts.
  • No returns on electrical or Audio (No Exceptions), Issues must be handled with manufacturer under warranty.
  • Locker and Gear returns must be received with full inspection showing no use, installation or wear. All parts and packaging must be in new unused and undamaged condition.
  • Tires or wheels once mounted are not accepted for returns. Only factory replacement if defective under the manufacturer's warranty with their approval can be provided.

Shipping

  • We guarantee a timely shipping process.
  • We reserve the right to adjust shipping prices before we ship any order. You will be contacted before we charge you any different than the price quoted during your order and be given the opportunity to cancel the order.
  • We currently Only ship within the continental United States (Alaska and Hawaii are not included). If you would like shipping to other areas of the world please email and we can get you a quote.
  • Orders cannot be shipped to PO boxes. We must have a physical address to ship merchandise to.
  • Express shipping is available for an additional charge. You must contact us at 678-888-3370 prior to placing an order.
  • All orders are shipped by ground delivery unless otherwise specified.
  • Offroad Trading Co. is not responsible for freight damages. Please inspect merchandise before signing for. All claims must be made with the shipping carrier. We will not refund payment due to freight damages.
  • Shipping charges on scratch and dent, surplus, overstock, used products, ebay store and auction products are different from drop shipping charges. Bumpers and large items require different shipping charges that what are listed below.
