Well, Rusty himself has a passion for racing and he wanted to design a system that would be exceptionally strong in high-speed situations while providing the most wheel travel.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe Competition System uses control arm frame brackets that wrap around the unibody and the uniframe; the design interlocks the two and spread the suspension loads over a large area of both. The brackets are constructed of 1\/4\" laser-cut steel that is then CNC formed for a precision fit. The inner floor plates are contructed of 1\/8\" steel for even more strength. The massive lower arms are constructed of 2\" diameter heavy-wall DOM tubing, while the upper arms are constructed of 1.50\" DOM. Both the upper and lower arms use high-quality 1.25\" heim joints. Please note that the heim joints are exceptionally strong but are not rebuildable; if this is a concern, then perhaps Rusty's traditional long-arm system with rebuildable Forged Flex Joints is a better option.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eMany questions have been asked about running this system as a three-link rather than a four-link.
